Comportement mecanique de materiaux, structures et systemes mecaniques. approches theorique, experimentale et numerique

The main topics I discussed since my appointment as a lecturer in 1995, are very diverse. This thesis focuses on three chapters. The first "Mechanical Materials" presents in a first part, the work we have done on a mode of degradation of concrete, the alkali-silica reaction and our proposed composite repair of structures affected. The second part presents our work on laws proxy for flexible and rigid by an asymptotic modeling thin film interfaces. The second chapter "flexible materials - pressurized structures" develops an identification method in terms of the shear modulus of elasticity of flexible matrix composites. From a structural point of view, we studied the mechanical behavior of pressurized cylindrical elements considering the orthotropic material. We focused our work to Timoshenko beams in space taking into account the aspect of orthotropic material, geometric non-linearities and follower forces induced by the internal pressure. The last chapter "Applied mechanics to biomechanics" outlines three cross-cutting projects related to biomechanics. The first project focuses on the development of orthopedic splints keeping children with Disability Cerebral Palsy and. The second project deals with an internal device for correcting scoliosis in children while self-adapting to its growth. The last project concerns the design and implementation of a mannequin leg for the crash tests to improve pedestrian safety. All these works cover a wide range of approaches where the theoretical, experimental and numerical aspects are discussed.
