Maillages administratifs et gestion du territoire en Bulgarie, une lecture géographique

This research deals with the capacity of the Bulgarian State to organize and create its territory through administrative structures. Three issues are addressed. The first one concerns the State' crisis which is very intense in a post-socialist context. The second issue deals with the interaction between the Western and Eastern models and the importation of the national State model. At last, the convergence with the European pattern of administrative system in order to enter the European Union leads to analyse the relations between politics and territory. How the territoriality of modern State and European policies hang together with the networking structures in the Balkans? The first part analyses post-socialist administrative reforms. The second part studies the national State building in Bulgaria. The third part deals with current territorial reorganizations.
