From an analytical practice inscribed in various continents the symptom and the structure are the major poles of the interrogation which supports this research displayed in three times. They are initially explored in the light of the teachings of Freud and Lacan through psychoanalysis with children, from its origin to its most recent clinical and theoretical developments. Then, the symptom is studied by confronting the approaches of the ethnopsychiatry and the metacultural psychotherapies with those of the psychoanalysis and the analytical cure, showing the relevance of the latter in an intercultural context. Finally, the dimensions going from the particularity of the child's symptom to the universal of the subject structure are elaborated through clinical cases resulting from an analytical practice with children from diverse origins and cultures. The study of the symbolic structure and the family constellation allows determining the logical times of the subjective structure and its stakes. For each subject, the family appears as an essential universal structure whose unconscious function and effects are decisive. Testifying a particular truth the child's symptom is implied in the clinical structures, in the analytical experience and the operation which composes it. And it is far beyond the cultural specificities that the encounter with an analyst leads sometimes towards an analytical experience and opens a space of a subjective implication where the child reveals, little by little, his intimate truth and discovers the way to a singular position of desire.
