Nursing assistant's Experiential knowledge in end of life care in nursing homes

The research work which we present aims at highlighting the knowledges of experience of the nurse's assistant. This professional category dispenses within the framework of nursing homes, a help to the everyday life of the dependent elderly and participates in the mission of the end of life. These professionals have informal knowledges which are not formalized. Narrative conversations allowed the verbalization of the experience. Thanks to narrative conversations realized by the participants with the chercheure, narratives are co-built which put in front of the knowledges of experience. In reference to the theory of the experiential training, we explore the experience , so much in the fact of living a novelty (lead an experience that the central core of the learning (learn some experience) and that the mobilization of real-life experiences (credit note of the experience). The study was able to clear the importance of the choice of the words, the stories and the performative statements which are the expression of values and feelings which clarify the world in which evolve the nurse's assistant. The results took the shape of phenomenological narratives according to the language of the participants and the participants and the typology of knowledges of experience appropriate to this professional category and in the context of end of life care in nursing homes.
