Status and signifiance of political ecology : contribution to an anthropology of globalisation and modernity

In this work we examine the reception of the environmentalism as a social movement inside two ideologies which dominate the horizon of the meaning at the time of its birth: liberalism and anticapitalism. We highlight four sites of controversy: the rights of the nature, the behavior of the ecologists in politics, the ecological economy and the question of a re-enchantment of the world.
