Construction of new soluble Bodipys for energy concentration and organic solar cells

The work undertaken during this PhD was focused on the design of fluorophores for several applications in fluorescence or energy conversion device. Several compounds from the Bodipy and Triazatruxene families were synthesized, characterized and studied. By structural modifications brought to these molecules, it was possible to obtain a panel of compounds those posses a range of absorption and emission properties which extend from 500 to 800 nm. The modulation of these optical properties has an interest in a large number of applications and field of research. Several Bodipys were synthesized for potential application in biological labeling and specific energy transfer processes.
