Policies of the old age in the region of Pays de la Loire

To deal with these issues the old age policies have appointed dependance, general council and the individual action as carriers. Public authorithies, especially general councils, relied ont the territoru to carry ou these answers. Nevertheless sectorial development and liberal gerontological policies resulted in a dispersion of gerontological action, and strengthened unequal distribution of supply. Contrary to political objectives, it appears a report of adaptation of th eldery and families at the diversity and uneven supply local. This disengagement from politics in favor of economic imperatives act spatial construction of aging in a large center-periphery model. The well-heeled eldery people have the geographical, economic, and social capacity to refe to independence and choics practices. However, eldery people with less ressources and who are most fragile rather live in rural an urban peripheries. they have neither geographical predispositions nor an economic capacity to differentiate production standards resulting from these policies for the eldery.
