Divalent europium luminescence in double borates BaLnB9O16 (Ln = La, Gd, Y) and the trivalent europium in phosphates yttrium and gadolinium for application to the display

The luminescence of the Eu2+ ion in BaLnB9O16 borates (Ln = La, Ce, Gd, Y) and of the Eu3+ ion in the various phases of the Gd2O3-P2O5 and Y2O3-P2O5 systems has been studied, with a view to their application in lighting or plama display devices.
