The objective of this work is to study in situ behavior of conducting polymers by coupling contact angle measurements with different electrochemical analysis tools (electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, cyclic electrogravimetry and ac-electrogravimetry). The originality of the present work lies in the fact that all electrochemical measurements were carried out within a single drop of electrolyte (1.5 - 3 L) which implies a development of a miniaturised set-up. As a model conductive material, we have chosen polypyrrole, electrogenerated from different substituted monomers that we synthesized. The wettability of polymer surface formed is influenced not only by the nature of the monomer but also the dopants present in the solution during the electrogeneration of the film. Depending on the nature of the formed conductive polymer film, we were able to identify the mechanisms of various species that were exchanged (charged or not) during the polarization by the ac-electrogravimetry measurements, and correlate to changes in wettability measured simultaneously
