Migrants dans la ville : une étude socio-anthropologique des mobilités migrantes à Salamanque

This thesis deals with migrant mobility and its influences on the evolution of the urban space in the city of Salamanca, a midsized municipality in the Spanish interior with relatively few migrants. The research aims to crossbreed urban sociology and migrant trajectories. The core of the research is the migratory project. The hypothesis is that the migratory project is defined, and redefined, as a consequence of meetings and opportunities. Through a comprehensive methodology, being a part of the social anthropology, and a longitudinal approach, the study reconstructs successions of mobility, events, situations and projects and describes how the migrants reside - spatially and temporally - in the city.
