This work deals with the study and the fabrication of microwave devices based on the Coplanar Composite Right/Left Handed (CPW CRLH) structures. In the first part, we introduce the CRLH theory. In the second part, circuit modelization and the design of the CPW CRLH unit cell are presented. A coplanar zeroth-order resonator has been numerically studied, realized and verified experimentally. The resonator we have proposed allows a reduction of 80% of its size compared to the conventional half-wave length resonator at 6GHz. Based on the unit cell, a CRLH TL with five elementary cells has been realized. The third part is devoted to the use of magnetic layers in CRLH structures to realise tunable microwave devices. The frequency agility of the ZOR was experimentally confirmed. We also developed a theoretical model of the CRLH unit cell with a YIG substrate. The experimental results of the CRLH line with ferrite and for different values of applied magnetic field are presented and compared with the theoretical model and 3D simulations
