This present work is the result of an interest in the sense given by French citizen to two social and political events in 2002 : Euro's circulation and the second round of the French présidential elections. This study is about psychic processes working in anticipation of intraeuropean cultural contact. After a way throught the European and French contexts, we presented the framework for intercultural psychology, nescessary to develop our throught. We have identified three processes taking part in antcipation, developed by the subject : the " Modes d'Apprehension de la Difference " (Denoux, 1992), the ideological position of the subject towards the European construction and the cultural position of the subject facing the European constructon. The analysis of political speeches and eight talks allowed the elaboration of the tool of investigation, a questionnary, given to twenty subjects before its final shape. Made up of five parts, it was presented to a sample of hundred and nineteen subjects. One hundred and ten questionnaries have been valided and the results submitted to a CHI 2 analysis with STATVIEW. The main result is following hypothesis validation : the anticipation of intraeuropean cultural contact is built according to the cultural position of the subject. Three intermediary variables are involved in anticipation of cultural European contact : the family's intercultural experience as a structural element, the political orientation of the subject as a contextual elemnt and the meaning of the cultural identitygiven by the subject in this context, the whole process of anticipation. We then conclude that the anticipation of intra-european cultural contact builds itself mainly according to the cultural position defined through the meaning of context that the subject gives to the cultural identity, the family's intercultural experience, processes added to the political orientation of the subject, element concerning the specific contact of the intraeuropean cultural context.
