Complex systems, natural and artificial, have recently gained a renewed interest : natural systems, especially biological ones, because of the necessity to apprehend them in a systemic approach ; artificial systems, because of the disappearance of computers in the context of ubiquitous computing. Art, for its part, has always explored the use of the latest scientific and technological advances for the creation of peculiar works. The work conducted during the last ten years is at the crossing of these ways, in the unifying context of multiagent systems. I have been particularly interested in computer-human interaction in the context of ambient computing, by developing the automatic construction and dynamic regulation of interaction systems. This work is nurtured by the research achieved on agent based simulation, on the basis of developed concepts and tools, as well as the inspiration drawn from the self-organization and regulation mechanisms of the studied systems. Art provides an original experimental framework by the metaphoric staging, in digital interactive performances, of the studied situations.
