Nanostructured amorphous carbon doped with nickel and tantalum : Characterization and Synthesis by femtosecond pulsed laser deposition

Improvement of the properties of the thin films of amorphous carbon (called Diamond Like Carbon, DLC) and search for new functionalities for this type of thin films by doping the DLC films with metals like nickel and tantalum. Femtosecond laser ablation is the technique used for synthesis of the doped or alloyed DLC thin film. This subject also highlights the contribution of this technique on the morpho-structural and physical properties of the doped DLC films.
