Qui milite sur Internet ? : Esquisse du profil sociologique du " cyber-militant " au PS et à l'UMP

Who militates on the Internet? Who militates on line? This question implies another one : how can we study these activists of a particular kind? This article presents a method "to get" the cyber-activists, and more widely to spread a questionnaire via Facebook. This method allows the researcher to establish an individual, targeted contact, getting almost to the private sphere, but in a massive way. We will see that the sociological profile of the cyber-militant is but slightly different from that of the traditional militant (except for their age): the cyber militant is "always more". More qualified, more male, higher in their professional position. This investigation also reveals some "surprises" concerning the farmers socioprofessional category.
