A quick review shows, within thirty years, a considerable inflation of the rules applicable to outdoor sports, both general rules and specific rules. A new observation and research field has thus opened itself and an outodoor sports law has emerged, consisting of many scattered rules. In the line of sports law, outdoor sports law has become more uncertain and more complex. A reordering was required, which took the form of the adoption of a sports code with a chapter dedicated to outdoor sports (articles L. 311-1 et seq of the sports code).
