Royal models in English poetry at the end of the Middle Ages

In the English monarchy of the end of the Middle Ages, the king's role is crucial - both a driving force and the protector of government and society, but in a political frame often difficult - usurpations are numerous. In this context, it is important to understand how his subjects represented the king, how they could have come to terms with the importance of the royal person, particularly during the crises and the changes of dynasties. Political literature of the period, abundant, constitutes an interesting key : if the royal person is crucial, there are some important evolutions which also witness of the will of a dialogue of the English political society.
