The indefinition in Khmer is studied through two markers naa and ?ej. It is shown that those two markers can be described through the notion of " non- individuation " which is to be understood in two different ways. In the case of ?ej, non individuation means out of any kind of individuation : ?ej puts at work a class of virtual occurrences. In the case of naa, the notion of non individuation means desactivation (withholding) of the initial contextual or situational individuation of one or several occurrences as a new property is taken into account.
