Nikolas Kabasilas et la théologie latine

The article analyses the relations of Nicolas Kabasilas (byzantine author, 14th c.) with latin Theology which starts being known in Byzantium through the translations of Maximus Planudes, Demetrios and Prochoros Kydones. These relations exist mainly inside an intellectual circle involving Nil Kabasilas (Nicolas' uncle), Demetrios Kydones (his childhood friend and translator of Thomas of Aquinas) and Nicolas himself. The meetings that Nicolas could have with Latins in Byzantium are also mentioned in order to explain some passages of the Explanation of the Liturgy, and of the Life in Christ, where can be seen the influence of Augustine, Thomas of Aquinas and, maybe, Anselmus and Duns Scot.
