In the French infrastructure, indicators provided in INSPIRE reporting are mainly based on the content of the national Géocatalogue (www.geocatalogue.fr), referenced by public authorities. Their calculation is based on information directly extracted from datasets and services metadata, like title of dataset/service, name of responsible organization or conformity of dataset/service... or calculated by a specific tool integrated in the Géocatalogue, based on Schematron validation language, like conformity of metadata. The presentation will explain the methodology used and will show the difficulties to provide some indicators which cannot be extracted from metadata.
