I argue that the connections such municipalities had invite to revise common ideas about the degree of development of municipal services in the so-called peripheries of the European continent, and to enlarge to transatlantic sphere of urban municipal progressism Daniel Rodgers theoretized in Atlantic Crossings to the Mediterranean.
