The Crapel (Centre de Recherches et d'Applications Pédagogiques en Langues) has designed a digital learning environment with the aim of bringing together typical elements of selfaccess language learning centres, in order to complete a self-directed learning system. We will present this environment, and compare the traces of activity of six learners thanks to excerpts from their coaching sessions. We will try to determine to what extent this environment is consistent with autonomous learning pedagogy and identify what might hinder or facilitate its use.
