Stochastic model for an uncertain rigid body of a multibody dynamical system

This research is devoted to the construction of a stochastic model for an uncertain rigid body of a multibody dynamical system. Sometimes the mass distribution of a rigid body is not perfectly known and can be random (for example, the spatial distribution of the passengers inside a vehicle, the mass distribution of the fuel inside a tank, etc) and therefore, can induce uncertainties in the rigid body modeling. In this context, a stochastic model is proposed for an uncertain rigid body. This means that the mass, the center of mass and the tensor of inertia which describe the rigid body are uncertain and are then modeled by random variables. The probability distributions of these random variables are constructed using the maximum entropy principle under the constraints defined by the available information concerning these quantities.
