Nonparametric stochastic modeling of geometrically nonlinear structural dynamic systems

The formulation of this nonparametric approach is described first for reduced order models of arbitrary geometrically nonlinear systems. It is then particularize for plates and beams undergoing moderate rotations with the von Karman strain definition. The application of these concepts to a beam subjected to a broad band deterministic excitation is presented which highlight the features of the nonparametric methodology.
