Measurable Experimental Difference between Relativity and FitzGerald-Lorentz length contraction

Fringe shifts should be observed when a one-way interferometer at rest in the laboratory is rotated, if a preferred frame exists. If a two-way interferometer is used, no fringe shifts should be observed. Fringe shifts are caused because of the relative movement between source of light and observer.
