CONTSID: a Matlab toolbox for direct continuous-time model identification from sampled data

The main purpose of this contribution is to describe the CONtinuous- Time System IDentification (CONTSID) toolbox for Matlab, which supports continuous-time transfer function or state-space model identification directly from regularly or irregularly time-domain sampled data. The paper also presents the recently developed flexible Graphical User Interface (GUI), which allows the user to perform data analysis, model parameter estimation as well as model validation by mouse-click operations. The advantages of direct continuous-time model identification from time-domain sampled data are also briefly discussed.
