Optimal skyhook control for semi-active suspensions

In this paper we derive an optimal skyhook control based on industrial specification, coupled with a reduced order observer when only one sensor is to be used. We emphasize the simplicity of this method that can easily be implemented in a real-time embedded application. Simulations on a non-linear suspension model with semi-active Magneto-rheological-damper (system actuator) are performed to show the efficiency of the method.
